Real seasoning
Scotch bonnet, pimento, thyme, escallion. Bought fresh, blended here, never from a jar.
Jamaican Vybes Kitchen opened its doors on Camberwell New Road with one rule: cook it the way it's cooked at home, or don't put it on the menu.
Every dish on our menu comes from recipes passed down through the family β the jerk marinade, the curry blend, the way the rice & peas gets its coconut. Nothing was reworked for a British palate. It's the real thing, cooked properly, served generously.
We opened in Camberwell because this is a community that knows good Caribbean food and won't accept a shortcut. Within weeks we were rated 4.9 on Google. Within a month people were coming back five times.
That's the vybe.

Oxtail takes hours. Curry goat takes hours. We don't rush either one to get a plate out quicker.
You should struggle to finish it. If you can, tell us and we'll do better next time.
We'll tell you what's good today, what's just come out the pot, and what to avoid if you've got an allergy.
We don't just serve from the counter. We take the kitchen out to street food markets, private parties, christenings, birthdays and office lunches across South London.
Tell us how many people, what date, and roughly what budget β we'll build a menu around it and give you a straight price.
